What to Expect On A Sunday

What to Expect On A Sunday

We are excited that you are considering visiting Praise Cathedral. We know it’s not easy visiting a church for the first time so here’s some information that will help you feel a part of our family!

Church service begins at 10:30AM. You will want to arrive a little early to get situated. If you have children, consider arriving 15 to 20 minutes before service to enroll your children in our nursery (Ages 0-2), Toddler Town (Ages 2-4), or our Route 66 Kids Church (Ages 5-12). In these classrooms, your children will be taught Bible stories, experience God and have a lot of fun in the process. All volunteers in our children’s ministries pass a background check, so you can feel safe trusting your children in their care.

Service will start with the band playing contemporary christian music. After that there will be some quick announcements followed by an offering to help support the ministry.  There is usually one or two more songs played, and then the pastor will read a passage from Scripture, explain it’s meaning and apply it to twenty first century life. Expect to be educated, expect to be challenged, and expect to feel the presence of God in the room.

After the service, the pastor may invite people to the front who want someone to pray for them. Otherwise he will dismiss the service by noon.

That’s great. How Should I Dress?

There is no dress code at Praise Cathedral. You’ll see some people who dress up and others who don’t. Feel free to wear whatever makes you most comfortable.

What are the people like?

We’ve got people from all sorts of backgrounds. You will find the crowd to be diverse and friendly!
